What’s your sign?

Warning: This post could possibly be categorized under “frivilous.”

I just discovered via the Facebook grapevine that there’s been an apparent shift in the heavenlies…so much so that there’s a new 13th zodiac sign. The only people who may really be negatively affected by this are those who have tattoos of their sign. (*rim shot!*)

While I am not deeply engrossed in a belief of astrology, I do believe that people who are born around the same time of year have similar traits – for whatever reason. I’ve observed it too many times to doubt that. Having said that, I will admit that I couldn’t help but to read the details of my “new” zodiac sign. Surprisingly, there are some things that ring true (but isn’t that always how personality assessments go?). Yesterday, I was a Libra. Today, I’m a Virgo. What a difference a day makes, eh?

According to online sources, here are the new dates for astrological signs:

Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18 – May 13
Taurus: May 13 – June 21
Gemini: June 21 – July 20
Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23 – Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 – Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17 – Jan. 20

I just have one question: what, exactly is an Ophiuchus??
